As the first professional international logistics expo held after the China-US tariff war, it is expected to attract a total of over 20,000 professional visitors, including more than 2,500 foreign trade cargo owner buyers.

On the morning of May 21, the three-day 3rd International Supply Chain Logistics Exposition (ISL Expo 2025) grandly opened at the Shanghai Convention & Exhibition Center of International Sourcing (SHCEC). As the first professional international logistics expo held in China after the China-US tariff war, the event carries even more prominent value and significance.

Co-hosted by China Shipping Gazette, the China Communications and Transportation Association - Shipping and Logistics Branch (CCTA-SLB), the China Communications and Transportation Association - Express and Logistics Branch (CCTA-ELB), the Top 50 Shipping Elites Research Center (50SERC) and the International Shipping Enterprise Association (ISEA), this year's expo was attended by Huang Zhendong, Former Minister of the Ministry of Transport; Xu Zuyuan, Former Vice Minister of the Ministry of Transport and Chief Expert on Decision-Making Consultation of the China Association for Science and Technology; and Dong Zhiyi, Chief Expert of the Chinese Society of Aeronautics and Astronautics, at the opening ceremony.

With the theme of "Gathering Port, Shipping, Railway and Air, Connecting Foreign Trade Cargo Owners", the expo strives to become "the expo gathering the largest number of logistics managers from foreign trade cargo owners". Nearly 300 supply chain-related enterprises from water transport, railway, aviation, road express and other fields participated in the exhibition. Concurrent with the expo, 14 foreign trade cargo owner events and 14 logistics industry events are held. It is expected that the total number of professional visitors will exceed 20,000, including more than 2,500 foreign trade cargo owner buyers, building a platform for communication, cooperation and win-win results for all parties in the supply chain, jointly addressing market challenges and promoting the stable development of China's industrial and supply chains.

Shipping enterprises including COSCO SHIPPING LINES, MSC, SITC Holdings, Sinotrans Container Lines, Jinjiang Shipping, China United Lines, He De Shipping and Taihai Container Shipping; port enterprises including Shanghai Port, COSCO SHIPPING Ports, Ningbo Zhoushan Port, Qingdao Port, Guangzhou Port, Xiamen Port Holdings, Lianyungang Port, Cangzhou Port and Yichang Port; and logistics and supply chain enterprises including COSCO SHIPPING Logistics & Supply Chain, China Eastern Air Logistics, China Railway Special Cargo Logistics, Zhongtong Express, Headwin Logistics, Jiangsu Freight Train, SIPG Rail-Sea Intermodal, SF Express, Yunda Express, Ningbo International Logistics and Shanghai Sunlit Logistics, all set up booths at the expo.

Enterprises including COSCO SHIPPING Specialized Carriers, PIL, Panasia Shipping, Xiamen Container Terminal, COSCO Shipping Technology, Platypus, Continental Ship Management and Dalian Container Terminal sponsored the expo and related events.

Meanwhile, logistics managers from cargo owner enterprises including Amazon, eBay, Michelin, JA Solar Technology, SAIC Volkswagen, FAW Jiefang Automotive, Fengshen Tire, BAIC Group, Geely Auto, Haier, Midea Group, Gree Group, Changhong Meiling Group, Schneider, Shanghai Pharmaceuticals, Jianlong Group and Newegg will participate in expo-related events.

At the opening ceremony, the release ceremony of the "2024 China Shipping Celebrity List" was also held. Initiated by China Shipping Gazette, the "China Shipping Celebrity List" selection aims to promote the spirit of role models and lead industrial development. A special honor exhibition area for the China Shipping Celebrity List has been set up at this year's expo.

As concurrent events of the expo, a series of forums were held on May 21, including the 4th Rail-Water Intermodal Transport Development Forum, the 8th Global Trade and Container Shipping Conference · Market Analysis and Forecasting Special Session, the 2nd Annual Meeting of the International Air Logistics Forum, the 1st International Joint Conference on Resilient Development of International Supply Chain Logistics, the 2025 Cross-Border Cold Chain & International Trade Collaborative Development Forum, the 2025 China Furniture Export and International Logistics Forum, the 2025 Forum on "Insights into New Policies for Cross-Border Trade Food and Opportunities for Financial Empowerment", the 2025 China Cross-Border E-Commerce Development Summit Forum, the 2025 National Tire & Up-Downstream Industries Foreign Trade Logistics & Financial Supply Chain Innovation Forum, and the 2025 High-Quality Supply Chain Development Boosting Steel Products Industry Going Global Conference. All parties in the supply chain conducted enthusiastic exchanges and reached cooperation intentions.

On May 22, 14 cargo owner and logistics forums and events will be held.

It is reported that the 4th International Supply Chain Logistics Exposition (ISL Expo 2026) will be held in Shanghai from April 22 to 24, 2026.
