Founded in 2015, the Maritime Silk Road Forum has grown from a regional exchange platform into an important international cooperation platform in the port and shipping sector of the Maritime Silk Road after more than ten years of development. It has attracted more than 10,000 participants from over 80 countries and regions, becoming one of the iconic platforms connecting global ports and serving the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).
With the theme of "Resilient Collaboration for a Win-Win Future", the forum directly addresses the current risks of global trade fragmentation and supply chain challenges. "Resilience" emphasizes building a port and shipping logistics network with strong impact resistance and rapid recovery capabilities; "Collaboration" advocates open cooperation across systems and regions; "Win-Win" demonstrates the firm stance against trade protectionism and upholding the multilateral system. This theme not only deeply inherits the spirit of cooperation over the past decade, but also strongly guides the future development path.
On the afternoon of May 27, the 2026 Port Technology Innovation Conference, a concurrent event of the Maritime Silk Road Forum, was held. With the theme of "Promoting 'AI + Port and Shipping' Scenario Innovation to Build a New Smart Port and Shipping Ecosystem", the conference was hosted by the China Ports & Harbors Association (CPHA), and co-organized by the Science and Technology Professional Committee of the China Ports & Harbors Association, China Communications News Agency, and Port Technology Magazine.
