Plaque Unveiling of the Research Group on China's Logistics ESG Series Standards

ESG stands for Environment, Social and Governance, which is an important initiative to promote the high-quality development of China's logistics industry. At present, the China Communications and Transportation Association has accepted and publicized the project application for the group standard General Requirements for ESG Disclosure of Logistics Enterprises, submitted by units including its Shipping and Logistics Branch and the Top 50 Shipping Elites Research Center. The preparatory work for the subsequent group standard Guidelines for ESG Disclosure of Shipping and Logistics Enterprises has also been included in the work plan.

To advance the research and development of the above standards, under the guidance of the China Communications and Transportation Association, the China Top 50 Shipping Elites Forum, the Shipping and Logistics Branch of the China Communications and Transportation Association, China Shipping Gazette, the Top 50 Shipping Elites Research Center and other units, together with relevant key enterprises and institutions, jointly initiated the establishment of the Research Group on China's Logistics ESG Series Standards, as the core working body for the formulation of the series of ESG standards for logistics enterprises. The research group is led by Professor Huang Youfang, initiator of the China Top 50 Shipping Elites Forum, the 8th Chairman of the China Institute of Navigation and Former President of Shanghai Maritime University. It brings together renowned domestic and international experts in logistics and ESG, as well as professionals recommended by all initiating and supporting units, forming a high-level research team that is leading in China and aligned with international benchmarks.

In addition, the research group, in cooperation with the Top 50 Shipping Elites Research Center, launched a collection campaign for logistics ESG practice cases. At the opening ceremony, Huang Youfang, Director of the Logistics Teaching Steering Committee of the Ministry of Education and Former President of Shanghai Maritime University, and Ni Wei, President of China Shipping Gazette, presented certificates to some enterprises participating in the case collection.
